Re-think Re-act
Six artists are each developing separate socially engaged art projects focusing on the themes of food and health. The projects aim to make a practical impact and set change in motion.
Art and design for a thriving region
Re-think Re-act: art and design for a thriving region focuses on the development of six separate art projects in North Limburg. Together and individually, these projects take the form of research and change processes. They contribute to a thriving region, explore new ways of shaping this idea, and make these visible and tangible together with the people involved. Attention is given not only to the final result, but also to the process of getting there. Step by step, we identify the conditions needed for collaboration that creates real impact.
With Re-think Re-act, museum van Bommel van Dam is developing a multi-year programme around food and health. We have chosen these themes because of the strong and innovative agricultural and food sector in and around Venlo, as well as the arrival of branches of HAS University of Applied Sciences and Maastricht University. Another aim is to draw attention to the urgent health challenges in the region. The health of people in Limburg continues to lag well behind the national average.
