VBVD Foundation
The van Bommel van Dam Foundation was established in 1976. The foundation was a gift from friends and family for Maarten van Bommel’s seventieth birthday. The aim of the foundation is to manage and exhibit the art collection that Maarten and his wife Reina donated to the municipality of Venlo. In addition, the foundation wants to showcase the works of talented visual artists. For this reason, the foundation established the van Bommel van Dam Award in 1977, as an incentive for young artists.
