The safety measures we have taken to make your visit as safe and comfortable as possible can be found here.
At the information point, you can find information about our programme outside the museum and exhibitions as well as the progress on the renovation of our new building. The actual museum, the building, is closed for the time being! The future location, Keulsepoort 1 in Venlo, will be renovated in the coming period. The museum will hopefully open its doors in spring 2021 in the newly renovated and monumental Post Office. In the meantime, a part of our collection will be visible to the public at exhibitions and (city) programmes ‘outside’. Information about these can be found at our Info Point in the Klaasstraat.
ENTRANCE TO THE KLAASSTRAAT INFO POINT IS FREE!
Trains and buses will stop at Venlo Station. From there it’s only a three-minute walk to Museum van Bommel van Dam. Walk in the direction of the city centre past the front of the Limburgs Museum. The first large building after that, on your right-hand side, is our future location: the former post office. To reach our info point, continue straight ahead and then take the second street to the left – Klaasstraat – and you’ll find our info point and shop half-way down the street on the left-hand side.
Cars & Parking
Travelling by car? Signs directing you to the ‘Centrum’ (city centre) and ‘Station Venlo’ (Venlo Station) can be found at all large access roads to the city. The nearest paid parking facility can be found at the Deken van Oppensingel, but you can also follow the blue parking signs (the larger ones recognisable by the digital counters denoting free spaces). You can walk to Museum van Bommel van Dam in 5-10 minutes. Please note that you also pay for parking in Venlo on Sundays!
